A complete exam includes a thorough eye health examination with or without dilation, as well as refraction, where the glasses prescription is checked to see if glasses are needed or if a change in glasses is needed.
For those children or adults interested in wearing or continuing to wear contact lenses, a fitting process needs to take place with periodic evaluation of the cornea (the healthy living tissue on which the contact lens sits) and a periodic evaluation of the fit of the contact lens, which can change over time. Drs. Ann, Klein, and Kube fit all types of contact lenses: soft, hard/rigid gas permeable, topic (astigmatism), colored, bifocal/multifocal, scleral, keratoconic, speciality contact lenses, and those for myopia control.

We have the latest diagnostic instruments at Feidler Eye Clinic, which assist us in diagnosing glaucoma as early as possible. If glaucoma is discovered, then appropriate treatment will be discussed with you.
Dry Eye Syndrome is very common and has a wide spectrum of severities. The doctors have all of the latest tests and treatments available, including Lipiflow and IPL (Intense Pulsed Light therapy).
A thorough examination will be performed, including checking for mild misalignments of the eyes. These misalignments can trigger the trigeminal nerve to have symptoms of head pain, eye strain, grittiness and dry eye sensation, light sensitivity, neck pain, and dizziness. Small prism corrections can provide dramatic improvement of these symptoms. The special treatment lens with contoured prism is called Neurolens, which has provided relief for many.
LASIK is an elective laser procedure that is performed on the cornea to reduce a person's dependency on glasses or contact lenses in the distance. Pre-operative testing and post-operative care is included in the price of the procedure, and are performed at Feidler Eye Clinic. Medical insurance companies do not usually cover this procedure, as it's considered cosmetic and not medically necessary. However, there are discounts available for some insurance companies and vision plans.
Our low vision specialist, Dr. Klein, can test for and prescribe aids and devices to help with areas of daily living for patients with vision impairment. There is a wide range of handheld and electronic magnifying devices to suit your needs.
Feidler Optical carries safety glasses (prescription and non-prescription) and eyewear for your working conditions. We also provide 24-hour emergency eye care should the need arise.
Want to improve visual skills for optimum athletic performance? There are many different tests and therapies, differing from one sport to another. Dr. Klein has worked with several local high schools and college athletes and teams to provide the best possible vision for their sport. Schedule an appointment with our sports vision specialist, Dr. Klein.
Our complimentary services include free eye exams for infants (InfantSEE exam) and free vision screenings for 3-year-olds (SEE to LEARN exam). If your work, school, or church is interested in an on-site vision screening, please contact our office. Our doctors have provided numerous screenings for local businesses, churches, health fairs, and schools.
Vision Screenings are associated with the state See To Learn program, where any three-year-old can receive a no-cost screening to help detect visual and eye health problems at an early age. Vision screenings are intended to help identify those children who have or may potentially have a vision problem that may affect physiological or perceptual processes of vision or that could interfere with school performance. Vision screenings are not diagnostic nor do they lead to treatment, but rather only indicate a potential need for further care. In the case of a finding or concern, a comprehensive dilated eye exam would be necessary. These 3-year-old vision screenings will be done at our clinic at a time that works best for you and your child. For more information on the program, visit www.seetolearn.com.
InfantSEE is a no-cost public health program in order to provide professional eye and vision care for infants nationwide. Our optometrists chose to be members of this program in order to provide a one-time, complete dilated eye assessment to infants.
Public health experts agree that visual development is most dramatic between 6-12 months of age and that early detection can prevent and help reduce the threat of serious vision impairments. For more information on the program, visit www.infantSEE.org.
LASIK is an elective laser procedure that is performed on the cornea to reduce a person's dependency on glasses or contact lenses in the distance. Pre-operative testing and post-operative care (exams one day, one week, one month, three months, and six months after the procedure) are included in the price of the procedure. Medical insurance companies do not usually cover this procedure, as it's considered cosmetic and not medically necessary. However, there are discounts available for some insurances and vision plans such as Blue Cross Blue Shield True Vision and VSP (Vision Service Plan). The doctors at Feidler Eye Clinic will do a complimentary screening to see if you are a possible candidate for LASIK if so desired.
